Family Travel by Train -- It's Alive!

After much thinking, dreaming, writing, procrastinating writing, editing, procrastinating editing (...you get the idea), I've published my e-booklet 'Family Travel by Train' in the Kindle Store. This book collects all my ideas and experiences from years of traveling by train with my kids, and sums it up into a quick little guide. I hope it helps others to have as much fun as we have, riding the rails and seeing the country :).

Coming Soon in the Kindle Store!

I just took a deep breath and pushed the big orange Amazonian button that releases my first-ever eBook in the Kindle Store. The book is called "Family Travel By Train", and it's a collection of tips, tricks, and advice based on my experiences traveling via the Amtrak system here in the United States. I wrote the book about a year ago, and since then I've been fiddling with it, updating bits and pieces, trying to figure out what to do with it. I knew I wanted to self-publish it and make it available very cheaply to people. I dithered over this detail and that, and finally had the time and energy to take the plunge and publish. At this point my plan is to use the Kindle-exclusivity program that will hold it as a Kindle-only title for 90 days. After that, I think I'll probably add another distributor to the mix, probably Smashwords. When an actor goes on stage, we say 'break a leg'. When a comedy troupe preps for a show, I was taught to say 'you suck!'. But I am not sure what the equivalent 'counter-wish' is for an author. Wish me terrible luck, everyone?!
